Spanning 950 hectares, Philippe Austruy has made his property, founded in the 13th century by the Order of the Knights Templar, into a unique venue. Dedicated to the culture of vineyards, it is open to wine specialist, but also to contemporary art lovers, who can come admire a wide array of monumental sculptures scattered around the park, while taking advantage of a very good restaurant.
Peyrassol opens its doors to contemporary art
Nikki de Saint Phalle, César, Arman, Antoni Tapies, Vasarely, Denis Oppenheim, Tinguely, Jean Dubuffet, Folon, Daniel Buren and many others, in their own way the 50 artists represented here participate in making the Commanderie de Peyrassol a cultural destination in its own right.
