At the heart of the Alpilles region, a former rehabilitated quarry, leaning against the mountain, is the backdrop for 3D shows, unique in the world. In the past, the monumental quarry was the setting for several films. Its galleries and its columns, more than 10 meters high, are used today as natural screens to project the works of great painting masters.

A unique visual universe, in Provence

Spanning 4 000 m², the galleries dug out inside the Val d’Enfer rock formation reinforce the relief effect. While moving about, visitors discover new angles of viewing and other perspectives of their favorite paintings in much larger sizes. Thus, each spectator bathes in an unreal world where animated images are displayed in a continuous loop on the walls, the ceilings and the ground.

Brueghel, Bosch and Arcimboldo on display, until the 7th of January 2018

After Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphaël, Klimt and Marc Chagall, it is now the turn of the fantastic worlds of Jérôme Bosch, Pieter Brueghel the Elder and Arcimboldo to receive the honors of this stone cathedral. This exceptional site is enhanced by Culturespace that manages the organisation. Their fascinating interactive exposition will be followed by another great artist, Pablo Picasso.
