Lord of the Villers-Bocage château for one day, in the Calvados department of Lower Normandy

While there are many imposing châteaux and manors throughout Normandy, the one located in the small township of Villers-Bocage has a very special status. Twenty minutes from Caen and 2h30 from Paris, this elegant property, with honey overtones, is the former official homestead of the Clermont-Tonnerre family, a venue that welcomed Joseph II, Emperor of Austria, and the brother of Queen Marie-Antoinette.

At the heart of a large landscaped park, it comprises a former hunting lodge, a farmhouse, an enclosed vegetable garden, an orangerie, woods and prairies : the ensemble spans 48 hectares.
