Less known than other touristic sectors in this Venice of the North, the island of Prinseneiland regroups several residential districts of Amsterdam. Along the facades, you admire former warehouses dating back to the century 17th century, where the sails of the ships, built in the construction yards, were boiled. Over the years, these historical spaces have been transformed into superb large trendy lofts.

Prinseneiland, the residential island of Amsterdam

Like a village in the city, these surprising houses are decorated with colorful wooden shutters. Behind the brick walls, they welcome many film sets, attracting film directors seeking authenticity, lovers of handsome atypical volumes and real estate investors.

A small paradise in freestone and in natural wood

For sure, with its 260 m², along canals linked to each other by drawbridges, this loft is particularly rare. Its oak parquet floors, its 3 bedrooms with built-in closets, its wooden beams, its skylight, its 8-meter-long freestone counter in the kitchen and its 60 m² rooftop terrace make it one of the most coveted apartments in Amsterdam.
