Of Anglo-Norman style, and close to the château of Vaux-le-Vicomte, it was the property of a Paris municipal counselor and an Infantry captain. Over the centuries, it hosted Jean de La Fontaine, Molière, Madame de Sévigné, and more recently singer Michel Polnareff, who found inspiration in one of the six outdoor pavilions of the park, nicknamed Snow White.
