In the Limousin region, this fortified castle, anchored along the Dournaujou river, is located between Limoges and Angoulême. After the death of King Richard the Lionheart, its 4 massive towers and dungeon were preserved and are reflected in a large pond since the 12th century. Having become a historical monument in 1946, Montbrun just underwent an important renovation, without loosing any of its Medieval cachet.
