Château de Mazelières, located 20 minutes from Agen, was the birthplace of Charles de Batz de Castelmore, better known as D’Artagnan, the hero from the Three Musketeers. In the small town of Espiens, its vineyards produce one of the finest vintages from the Buzet wine region, a combination of merlot, cabernet sauvignon, and cabernet franc grapes.
