Specialised in renovating historic architectural gems, the experts at Atelier Cos are called in to work on only the most luxurious projects.
Never before have the preservation and restoration of historic architecture been so high on the list of cities’ priorities. This is a sensitive topic for Didier Beautemps and Valéria Sanchez Rodriguez, two architects who partnered together to create an agency that operates within the French architectural market. Together, they transform and restore iconic buildings in the country’s capital connected to the high-end hotel and luxury industries.
Expertise in historic architecture
When starting a new project, the pair meticulously studies the design of the renovations. Their teams have customised the headquarter office of the bank Société Générale, the Ritz Hotel in Paris, the Palais Hotel in Biarritz, the George V Four Seasons, the Maison Albar Céline, the Cheval Blanc in Courchevel, the Château de Saran (where Moët & Chandon welcomes its guests in the Marne department), and the buildings owned by the Barrière Group.
Talents’ brainstorming
The firm’s next project will be delivered in late 2020 in collaboration with the real estate developer Philippe Journo and the designer Philippe Starck. The Hilton Paris Eiffel Tower will be located in a fully renovated telephone exchange that dates back to 1899. Topped with an immense rooftop terrace that’s perfect for events and features a panoramic view of Notre Dame Cathedral and the Eiffel Tower, it will soon become a top destination in the city.
