Brussels pays homage to Audrey Hepburn, a native of the country
Until the 25th of August 2019, the city of Brussels, in Belgium, pays homage to a native of the country, Audrey Hepburn, during an exhibition entirely dedicated to the actress.
Born in Brussels before leaving for London, New York and Hollywood, Audrey Hepburn is the center of attention of an exhibition showcased by her son, Sean Hepburn Ferrer. Audrey Intimate focuses on the life of the actress, on stage and in real life. The benefits of the event will be entirely donated to Eurordis-Rare Diseases Europe, and to the Brugmann and Bordet hospitals of the European capital.
The homage of Brussels to Audrey Hepburn
The two first floors of the Vanderborght Gallery, midtown, feature several hundred unpublished photographs of the woman behind the legend, with a limited number of souvenirs, dresses and accessories, as well as special works, such as humanitarian writings and a series of moving videos on the emblematic moments of her life.
A woman behind the myth
As you move along the exhibition, you will discover her house, La Paisible, in the county of Vaud, in Switzerland, her role as ambassador for Unicef, film clips and a boutique where you can buy the limited edition poster of "Breakfast at Tiffany's." So allow youself to dive in the filmography of this 20th century cinematographic icon who reinvented the little black dress.
