Christian Dior, at the Arts Décoratifs, in Paris, until the 7th of January 2018
The Christian Dior exhibition, Couturier du Rêve, celebrates the 70 years of the famous brand. And it is like stepping in a catalogue of Haute Couture.
To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Christian Dior House, created in 1947, the Decorative Arts museum is featuring an exhibition dedicated to the outstanding personnality of its eponymous couturier. This retrospective showcases the numerous splendours and podiums paying homage to the major role he played in the history of fashion and French culture.

Having imposed his creative style in the 50s, the man still remains a reference in the universe of Haute Couture. This exhibition puts the accent on his work, while overlapping it with contemporary creation. 400 dresses are showcased in the different galleries, most of them iconic pieces in echo to the pictorial, graphic and decorative works that nurtured his imagination.
A Grand Opening attended by many stars
The inaugural evening was memorable. Natalie Portman, Karlie Kloss, Robert Pattinson Bella Hadid and Jennifer Lawrence paraded in front of the master's wide array of dresses. The guests were then invited to discover a very rich and intricate installation featuring his heritage pursued by other renown counturiers, who followed in his wake, such as Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Bohan, Gianfranco Ferré, John Galliano, Raf Simons, and more recently Maria Grazia Chiuri. So if you don't know what to wear tonight, take the time to come visit the exhibition…
