A crash test with Miles Hyman at the Huberty & Breyne Gallery in Ixelles
In Ixelles, an ultra-chic community within Brussels, the Huberty & Breyne Gallery is exhibiting Miles Hyman’s series of works entitled « Crash ».
Until 24 August, fans of hyper realism can attend the Huberty & Breyne Gallery on the outskirts of Brussels to view the most recent works of Miles Hyman, an American artist who defies description. His shocking images, which seem pulled from the pages of a comic book, will transport viewers to a world featuring New York and Los Angeles, two of the artist’s favourite cities.
The Miles Hyman exhibit in Ixelles
Miles Hyman infuses each of his paintings, drawings, engravings, and illustrations with a unique vibrancy. In his « Crash » series, the artist, who was born in the state of Vermont, captures an action shot depicting a wrecked car and a mysterious woman who seems entirely misplaced against the surrounding backdrop. The scene is rendered in an intense yet elegant range of chromatic colours.
A trip through the US from the European capital
A few plates from his most popular works will also be on display. Visitors will even be able to see a number of secrets from his upcoming book, « Rome », which will be published in Louis Vuitton’s prestigious Travel Book collection. It’s a great way to kick off a long roadtrip and get to know the artist’s vision of the US—all without leaving the European capital.
