Degrenne and Deauville : tableware with a nautical twist
The new nautical-themed tableware collection from Degrenne was designed in partnership with the city of Deauville.
A high point along the coast of Normandy and a favoured destination for Hollywood actors during the American Film Festival, Deauville is the quintessential seaside resort town located just two hours from Paris. In addition to luxury hotels, casinos, the Planches boardwalk, seaside restaurants, and colourful rows of beach umbrellas, this small city in Calvados now has its very own tableware set.
Degrenne has reinterpreted Deauville’s nautical style
Degrenne collaborated with the local tourism office to offer a fresh take on nautical style in this latest collection—a natural move for a tableware brand with a historical presence in Normandy. For inspiration, Degrenne sought to embody the city’s particular way of life, which is equal parts discretion, elegance, and refinement.
Watercolour shells and shellfish
The theme of the collection is shells collected from the beach, which the artists have portrayed using watercolour-effect designs. In a range of subtle shades set off by a palette of blue-grey, slate-grey, and beige, the shells are delicately arranged on the plates and surrounded by a rope. Exactly what you need for your next summer party by the water’s edge !
