From the Iliad to the Odyssey : Homer’s saga at the Louvre Lens
The Louvre Lens offers a unique perspective on the sagas written by Homer, one of the most iconic figures from ancient Greece.
Since its inauguration in December 2012, attendance at the Louvre Lens, a sister gallery to the Paris museum, has grown with each new season and cultural event. With the most ambitious exhibition ever dedicated to Homer, the author of the Iliad and Odyssey, two sagas written nearly 30 centuries ago that remain just as relevant today, the museum will continue to set new records.
Homer inside the Louvre Lens

His works, which form the basis for all of Western culture, offer a unique glimpse into a world that is equal parts beautiful and mysterious. The exhibition explores the concepts of « Homerania » that helped shape archaeology and inspire a worldwide interest in Grecian art.
