Knoll celebrates 100 years of Bauhaus in its Parisian showroom
Knoll is celebrating the 100th anniversary of Bauhaus with new collections and iconic pieces in its Parisian showroom.
Founded in New York in 1938, Knoll creates residential furniture that features inspiring, scalable, and timeless design. The company works with the industry’s most talented designers and uses carefully selected materials. Knoll has always adhered to the founding principles of Bauhaus style, which dictate that modern furniture should complement an architectural space without ever overpowering it.
100 years of Bauhaus at Knoll
This autumn, the company has given free rein to Rem Koolhaas, Piero Lissoni, David Adjaye, and Barber & Osgerby to give shape to cultural heritage by combining originality with comfort. The idea is to pay tribute to the era by releasing avant-garde products that are both innovative and technologically advanced and will one day join the permanent collections of international museums.

A new take on an established aesthetic
The Gould sofa is modelled after mid-century modern design. The Smalto tables, with their metal finishes, feature a distinctive graphic style that reinterprets design’s most classic themes. The exterior of the KN04 chair resembles a smooth seashell and is the perfect addition to any bedroom. At Knoll, attention to detail, minimalism, and functionality have resulted in an entirely new aesthetic.
