Leading the list of the ten most expensive ports in Europe to dock a yacht, Puerto Banus is Spain’s most exclusive marina.
Docking fees have increased throughout the Mediterranean, from Porto Cervo and Capri to Saint Tropez. Even though costs at Puerto Banus have jumped by 20 %, owners of 55-metre yachts are still flocking to the marina during the peak season, where the cost for anchoring is 4289 € per day.

This port along the Costa del Sol wasn’t originally anything special when José Banus decided to build it next to the beach of the Marbella Club Hotel in 1966 along with residential high rises, boutiques, and restaurants that charged luxury prices. Today, visits from ships and sailboats like the Aresteas and the Rox Star never fail to make an impression.

Featuring a rock music theme, the Rox Star is designed like a sailboat yet offers the comfort and the space of a motor yacht. It can house up to 10 people and includes five double cabins and three crew cabins. The Aresteas is 51 metres long, and its interior can accommodate up to 12 people.
