Producing iconic and sustainable luminaries, such is the approach of the Rispal House that draws from its ADN to imagine unusual pieces.

Truly passionate about luminaries, designer Douglas Mont is relaunching Rispal House by renkindling its most modern models, testimony of the golden era of French lighting during the 20th century, with the idea in mind to revive this sleeping beauty, thanks to catalogues and finally producing a work of rewriting with avant-garde creations inspired by the streamlined Scandinavian spirit.

A new edition of luminary icons

5 years of research, encounters and technical experimentations were necessary to revisit the most emblematic pieces of the brand. The star of the collections, the Praying Mantis, a spherical and pleated lampshade, is created in cellulose acetate, from wood pulp—a renewable raw material that does not use oil for its manufacturing.

A very natural light

A Phasme table lamp reveals the revived contemporary spirit of Rispal. For ecolological reasons, the exotic woods used in the past, such as tech or mahogany are banished, replaced by ashtree, walnut and oak, stemming from sustainably managed forests. Each model is hand made in France—accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
