Som'Art, mattresses that turn your nights into works of art
Som’Art mattresses are custom-designed by street artists to bring a bit of whimsy into the bedroom and make your nights even more lovely.
Designed for modern art fans in search of a unique mattress, Som’Art is simultaneously a showroom, a concept store, and an art gallery. It’s also the favourite hang-out of Michael Hazizia, founder of the ALLOmatelas company. This passionate entrepreneur challenged himself to inject a dose of novelty into the otherwise traditional world of bedding by incorporating the work of street artists.
Mattresses : new works of art from everyday life
In a revolt against a mattress’s typical white, boring design, this essential item, which is a part of our everyday lives, is finally available in colour. In La Plaine Saint-Denis, in an old textile factory that resembles a New York-style loft, mattresses and headboards are created by C215, Mesnager, Toxic, Shuck One, Pimax, Babou, Henry Hang, Lord Anthony Cahn, Soklak, and Zalez.
A night at the museum of street-art beds
One hundred Som’Art pieces, worth up to 12 000 €, are exhibited in this constantly changing gallery. Whether propped up, laying down, or displayed in frames, they are transformed into new, one-of-a-kind mediums for expression that will make you feel like you’re sleeping in a museum.
