This Winter, Monaco is Unrolling the White Carpet on the Place du Casino

The big theme of the winter holidays in Monaco will be entertainment. The beating heart of the principality, the place du Casino will once again be the place-to-be, with its magic atmosphere thanks to the Christmas decorations, until the 7th of January. And this year, the Monaco establishments will be dressed up in all different facets of casino culture, watched over cheerily by Santa Claus.

The White Carpet Unrolled Place du Casino

The Atrium is going to set the tone with the One-Thousand-and-One red-and-white lozenge decorations of its evocatively-named « Let’s Fall in Diamonds ». Building facades will be lighting up to accompany the carpet of cards which will wend its way between the boutiques of Pavillons Monte-Carlo, the immense fountain will be transformed into a roulette snowball, giant dice will be thrown here and there, and Christmas trees will be decked out in golden elegance as hearts, clubs, spades and diamonds.

Exquisite Gastronomy and Enthralling Shows

And with more than twenty restaurants, gastronomy is also on the menu of the sites of the Société des Bains de Mer. Four Michelin-starred restaurants will be offering exceptional moments : Alain Ducasse’s Le Louis XV and Le Grill, Le Vistamar, Le Blue Bay and L’Elsa, without forgetting that the Yuletide Log has been baptised « Single Chance ». On stage, the Nutcracker will invite visitors into its marvelous world and « Piaf ! The Show » will be put on for one night only on-stage at the Opera. More than ever, the end-of-year means party-time in Monaco !
