This summer, Parisian restaurants are showcasing their colors and savors to welcome the gourmets who stayed in the capital and occasional visitors.

Restaurant Aux Crus de Bourgogne (2nd): a timeless address

Impossible to bypass this institution of the Montorgueil district! On the slate: frog legs, coq au vin, pâté en croûte, pike quenelles, eggs en meurette, game, mousse au chocolat— the great classics of French cuisine are happily present.

The paradise of French specialties

Restaurant Taisho (16th): in the land of the Rising Sun

It's the summer terrace of  Keisuke Yamagishi. While waiting to finally return to his restaurant Etude, the star chef has opened an ephemeral table with a guinguette decor facing the stunning panorama of the Eiffel Tower and the Trocadéro, in front of the the Paris Aquarium.

A refined cuisine mixing Western and Japanese savors

The menu reveals his know-how regarding raw Kabuso salmon, Pie Rouge tataki of beef,  Kaaragé chicken with seasonal vegetables or an Itakuya tart with chocolate from Brazil—and for those with inquisitive taste buds, a thirst-quenching yuzu beer. A la carte: 40 €. Facebook

Restaurant Louis XVI (8th): the great surprise

Facing the small square named after the beheaded king, Daïna Savesi and cheffe Sonia Benaouda have dusted off the brasserie concept and focused on a sustainable cuisine spirit with local products in a close-to-home circuit trend.

Under the aegis of the Collège Culinaire de France

Here foodies indulge in glazed eggplants with olives, coddled egg with cream of celeri, tartare of Aubrac beef selected by Hugo Desnoyer and hake fish from Saint-Jean-de-Luz à la plancha. Formula: 24 €. Menu : 28 €. A la carte : 40 €.​ lelouis16-paris.fr

Restaurant Boccador (8th) : Italy on the Champs Elysées

On the walls, portraits of Sophia Loren, Monica Vitti, Claudia Cardinale, Vittorio Gassman and Marcello Mastroianni invite us to share specialties from the Boot in a dining room that has been a landmark of the Parisian Golden Triangle since the 70s. 

A welcoming and intimate ambiance

The festivities start off with a carpaccio of artichoke sprinkled with parmesan, followed by a raw bass tartare, spaghetti alla vongole, sea bass in a crust of courgettes and linguini with poutargue fish eggs while dreaming of the Dolce Vita. Formula: 29 €, A la carte: 50 €. www.le-boccador.com

Restaurant Jouy (3rd): musical dinners and art gallery

Should you venture out in the High Marais, discover this elegant house, under the helm of chef Nicola Casties and Alexandre Brik. Guests can dine while listening to piano music and can also enyoy ephemeral exhibitions organized on the premises.

The other originality of the place is offering "very good food at reasonable prices", such as sirloin beef tip on a lard chantilly, gnocchis with orange blossoms and monkfish marinated with cumbawa—all priced at an average 20 €. Facebook

Restaurant Le Shack (9th): the new spot of epicureans

Behind the Opera Garnier, this urban oasis is nestled inside the former premises of the Calmamn-Lévy publishing house, transformed into an emporium regrouping a coworking space, a boutique, a well-being area, a cocktails bar and a restaurant.

An atypical space

At the living room dining tables, the spotlight is on generous "casual food" where healthy products fill up the plates of startuppers, adventuresome diners and gourmets, bewitched by the beauty and originality of the venue. A la carte : 40 €. leshack

Restaurant Truffes Folies (8th): for all the black diamond lovers

The wish of this pocket-sized table with an irresistible grocery shop corner is to make truffles more accessible by highlighting them in each recipe—from aperitif to the dessert. Lovers of this magical mushrooms are sure not to forget this very special address.

A now affordable luxury

Invited everywhere, its bewitching aromas navigate with majesty. From the burrata to salads, incuding cèpes mushroom soup, omelet, foie gras, pasta, risotto, Brie cheese or tiramisu, its tasting is addictive. Formula: 19 €. A la carte : 60 €. www.truffesfolies.fr
