To escape without having to travel to the end of the world, watercolourist Karina Eibatova highlights jungle exuberance for her mural decorations.
Specialized in landscape art, illustrator and visual artist Karina Eibatova has chosen the exhibition space of her profession: the wall. She also combines the functions of videographer, watercolourist, typographer and designer to unveil works representing natural phenomena, such as minerals or animals, as well as scenes interpreting environments such as the surrealist universe of exotic forests.
The art of mural crayoning
Born in Saint-Petersburg, Russia, she then attended a Swedish School of Fine Arts before flying off to Austria, England and then Japan. She contributes to the creation of album covers, magazines and murals for hotels, while making her appearance in artistic galleries, with her pencil signature which depicts nature and more particularly a fanciful jungle.
The revisited Magical Jungle spirit
At home, her work puts joy at the heart of elegance, with the sublimated presence of duck-billed koalas, zebra-striped rhinos, elephants, monkeys, wild animals, parakeets, parrots and flamingos, deliberately oversized, in the shade of erupting volcanoes. All on a calligraphic floral theme that transforms our urban interiors into heavenly escape spaces.
