Christian Dior Exhibition - The Spirit of Perfumes, in Grasse
With this exhibition celebrating the 70 years of the New Look, from the 17th of May to the 1st of October 2017, the town of Grasse pays homage to Christian Dior and to his first perfume launched in 1947.
« Perfumistas » are invited to the International Museum of Perfumery to inaugurate the Christian Dior - Spirit of Perfumes retrospective. This exceptional event will be taking place in the world capital of perfumes and flowers. A homage will be paid to the couturier at the origin of some of the most famous perfumes of the 20th century that have perdured into the 21st.
Christian Dior – Spirit of Perfumes, a homage to the five senses
The exhibition focuses on the important moments of Christian Dior’s emblematic life, as well as on his most famous olfactive creations. Inspired by the Belle Epoque and the floral universe, the couturier created a return to French elegance and a rediscovered femininity. Lily of the Valley, Corolla, Rose were all at the heart of his universe, producing Diorissimo, and bouquets for Miss Dior.

At the origins of perfumery
In Grasse, you will understand his attraction to southern light and the Pays de Grasse area where he deepened his knowledge pertaining to perfume plants. You will be able to admire crystal perfume bottles and rare posters, as well as the historic collections of the Dior House enhanced by videos, interactive terminals, olfactive and tactile points. Truly a delightful visit !
