Spanning 950 hectares, Philippe Austruy has made his property, founded in the 13th century by the Order of the Knights Templar, into a unique venue. Dedicated to the culture of vineyards, it is open to wine specialist, but also to contemporary art lovers, who can come admire a wide array of monumental sculptures scattered around the park, while taking advantage of a very good restaurant.

Nikki de Saint Phalle, César, Arman, Antoni Tapies, Vasarely, Denis Oppenheim, Tinguely, Jean Dubuffet, Folon, Daniel Buren and many others, in their own way the 50 artists represented here participate in making the Commanderie de Peyrassol a cultural destination in its own right. Hailing from different horizons, their works create the surprise at the detour of a path or a vineyard plot.

A holiday escapade under the sign of wine

For extended stays, this exceptional setting, in the middle of nature, offers rooms and apartments with authentic comfort. Offering Olympian calm, they are decorated with antique pieces of furniture, Provencal fabrics and vintage tiles. Here, gastronomy also holds up its rank with the table d'hôtes of Guillaume Delaune, a chef who knows how to perfectly combine seasonal products with the A.O.C. and A.O.P. Côtes de Provence wines of the estate. Careful, it will be very difficult to leave…
