Known for his impressive and flashy sculptures that make big headlines, this New York plastician artist is once again the center of attention. This time, Jeff Koons will not be shocking the public at large by installing his « Balloon Dogs » in the gardens of the château de Versailles, neither in the alleys of the Pompidou Center or on Louis Vuitton handbags, plates are his new claim to fame.
Bernardaud puts Jeff Koons on their plates
Indeed in 2017, he has reproduced the monumental sculptures of his series Celebration on Bernardaud porcelain. Now, the stainless steel balloons, featuring multi-colored dog shapes, that this master of neo pop created in 1990, have been adapted for our home sweet homes. In a 30 centimeter version, to fit more easily on our tables.
Collector plates at high prices
Stemming from know-how that requires no extra proof, the manufacture has taken on this complex projet that required all the competences from expert modellers, decorators and enamelers, as well as new technologies in order to meet this challenge.
