Reopening of the Hotel de Crillon, on place de la Concorde
After 4 years of renovation, the flagship hotel on place de la Concorde reopens its doors. Thus the Crillon joins the exclusive club of Parisian palaces.
Highly awaited in the super deluxe hotel world, the reopening of the Crillon is effective thanks to a Saudi prince. He treated himself to the building that Louis XV commissioned from architect Jacques-Ange Gabriel, in 1758, for 250 M€, and spent almost the same amount to renovate the residence of royalty and heads of state on official visits to France.
The Hotel de Crillon reopens its doors to high-end guests
Under the aegis of architect Chahan Minassian, the public spaces are once again sparkling and filled with light. As for the Baccarat elephant, emblem of the establishment, inherited from an era when the House of Taittinger champagne was the owner, it found its place under the crest of the Duke of Crillon. Marble, gold, silver, precious leathers, everything here is ready to welcome guests.
Suites signed Karl Lagerfeld
Operated by the group Rosewood Hotels and Resorts, the hotel counts 124 rooms and 2 suites at 25 000 € per night signed Karl Lagerfeld. One of them is named « Choupette », in homage to his famous pet cat, with a 17th century style bed and large carpets with « Kitty Scratches » motifs.
Christopher Hache, a chef reaching up to the stars
After his round-the-world culinary journey, Christopher Hache has surrounded himself with a brigade of 70 chefs to meet the challenge : writing his own gourmet chapter in this historical hotel by breaking the codes and personalizing his work through the arts of the table. Here he revisits classics such as the croque-monsieur which becomes « Croque-Gentleman » with a truffle juice Mornay sauce. He also concocts a pot pie ratatouille with litchee honey, making sure that guests at the gastronomic table of l’Ecrin and the d’Aumont brasserie depart with stars in their eyes.
Sense, a Spa labeled Rosewood
And in order for the experience to be really complete, the establishment has opened a Sense Spa that offers rituals capable of exalting each sense. In an atmosphere of relaxation, a wide array of treatments carefully selected by several brands are offered. For the face, EviDenS de Beauté pays homage to the delicate beauty of Japanese women. In terms of body treatments, Maison Caulières intends to respect seasonal cycles with its line of products showcasing a natural know-how passed down from generation to generation. Upon simple request, you can even take advantage of the services offered by a shiatsu master, a naturopath and an osteopath in this oasis of tranquillity. Many good reason to rediscover very quickly the splendors of the Hôtel de Crillon…
