Maria by Callas, the n°1 exhibition of Seine Musicale
In honor of the 40th anniversary of Maria Callas' passing away, this exhibition retraces the sensitive and intimate life of a real star.
2017 commemorates the unique talent of the unforgettable Greek opera singer, Maria Callas. Her exceptional voice and her very personal acting literally transformed lyrical art, and homages are multiplying on the leading world stages. Exhibitions, recitals and books will be showcasing the repertoire of this leading tragic actress who became the most famous soprano of all times.

In the auditoriums of Seine Musicale, the life and legend of modern opera will be presented along with unpublished archives. Photos, films, private recording of her concerts, letters, interviews, backstage images of her performances, stage costumes and iconic objets offer a new outlook on the diva who reformulated vocal interpretation while creating the buzz on the social scene.

And to crown this event, the Italian Culturel Institute of Paris and the Accademia Teatro of the Scala in Milan will also be celebrating « la Divina Callas », from the 13th of September to the 4th of October, through a wardrobe reconstituted by Italian workshops and unpublished photos. As for the VIPS, they will be pampered during a private concert offered by singers of the Milanese opera, with Alain Duault, Maria Chiara Donato and Andrea Jacchia. Save the date, a diva is born…
