For the first time since its opening, in 2004, the Hermitage museum is displaying large artworks of the Czars' collections at the heart of Amsterdam. 63 artistic treasures, amongst the most spectacular in Saint-Petersburg, dedicated to Dutch paintings of the 17th century, have returned to the embankments of the Amstel river. Thus, they are making a comeback to their native Dutch soil, since their acquisition, some 350 years ago.
