The Sensational New Porsche : the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid

By launching the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid, Porsche are putting their name behind hybrid systems. The German brand, based in Stuttgart, started the process 7 years ago with the Cayenne but is putting the foot on the accelerator now with this model with 550 horsepower under the bonnet. The declared objective is to obtain a top speed of 310 km/h, and to go from 0 to 100 km/h in only 3.4 seconds.

Panamera, the Porsche Hybrid Range

This electric motor can be recharged in only 6 hours with a domestic plug socket and boasts consumption of only 2.9 l/100 km with an autonomy range of 50 km, thanks to its lithium-ion battery. It can therefore be used in towns which have outlawed combustion engines without using the slightest drop of petrol.

An Urban Eco-Sporty Racer

Presented at the Geneva Motor Show, equipped with composite ceramic brakes, pneumatic suspension and all-wheel-drive, Porsche have kitted out their new toy with sporting and ecological extras to make it the most ethical and durable hybrid on the market. It’s enough to push up their sales figures even more, despite an asking-price of 189 000 €.
