Quite close to the Champs-Elysées, an ochre red pagoda stands proudly between two Haussmanian buildings. An unusual vision in this ultra chic Parisian district. It's the Maison Loo, an architectural folly, commissioned by art merchant Ching Tsai Loo, who had this six level building constructed in 1926, by nostalgia for his country of origin, the Empire of the Middle.

Initiation to exquisite Chinese gestures

Having become a cultural landmark between France and China, this unique venue hosts a private museum that presents exhibitions all year long. The living rooms of this very exceptional establishment are decorated in keeping with the criteria of the Forbidden City and can be privatized in order to welcome artistic events.

Luxury, the new target of Made in China craftsmanship

The China of Exquisite Gesture wants to associate the words luxury and Chinese to reveal the explosion of contemporary Chinese artists on the international art scene and also the emergence of creative houses, concerned with delivering a hand-made upscale product, deliberately inspired by an ancestral culture. In this country, there exists a tradition of work with wood and high-end jewellery at the service of an emblematic precious stone : jade. It's in this context that Nathalie Morin imagined this projet in order to initiate us to this special know-how, from carpets to porcelains. Creative « Homemade in China » objects that are part of the luxury craftsmanship category, while heralding an ancient aesthetic code, at a time when China was the land of the « Gao Ya » that is showcased by « beauty » or « elegance ». A renaissance to discover as soon as possible at the Courcelles Pagoda…
