Patrimony : a detailed review of the château de Saulon, in scenic Burgundy
In a landscapred park of verdant Burgundy, the Château de Saulon has restored its historical patrimony, down to the slightest details.
At a time when awareness for the need of preserving historical patrimony built up over the centuries, examples of châteaux, rediscovering their potential wealth, are multiplying all over France. And it's in the village of Saulon-la-Rue that this 17th century homestead, entirely renovated during the 19th century, stands up proudly at the heart of a more than 27 hectare park.
The château de Saulon showcases its patrimony
On the road of leading Burgundy vintage wines, the place has transformed itself step-by-step into a 4-star hotel-restaurant with modern comforts, without allowing its glorious past go by the wayside. In an alliance of simplicity and sophistication, the renovation of the site and its outbuildings, but the interior architectural cabinet Rinck, signs the renewal of a setting where services go crescendo.

An express metamorphosis, but long-lasting
In just a few weeks, the space was redesigned. The gilding was restored, the mural panels reupholstered, the wooden paneling repaired by prominent cabinetmakers, facades retwisted, the living rooms dressed up with old fashioned wallpapers, parquets covered with wall-to-wall carpets, and the garden crossed by the river, redesigned by a landsape artist. Leisurely château life can once again live up to its reputation…
