The excellence of simplicity! A role model for a wide array of chefs, Joël Robuchon spread his unique know-how throughout 12 countries, and was awarded 32 stars by the Michelin Guide. Always with a touch of good humor, for a long time the  «Chef of the Century » delighted gourmets from all horizons in his black and red « Ateliers » who lived up to their name.

Much more than a classic restaurateur, this artist entered into the legend of leading chefs, who transformed French High Gastronomy by reaching an uneqauled degree of technicity. A talent taught to generations of kitchen apprentices : TV shows, frozen products, branches abroad, recipe books and culinary souvenirs, the image of his smile was omnipresent.

Mashed potatoes as heritage

The greatest defender of Made in France culinary classics leaves behind him several signature dishes, including his famous mashed potatoes with butter and a truffle tart, wildly emulated. Today, the brigades of his establishments, his family, his friends and the gourmet planet are mourning his loss. But wherever he may be, for sure he wishes you a bon appétit
