Place Vendôme, in Paris, the wings of the Ritz Hotel shelter the culinary Escoffier school that is celebrating its 30 years of excellence.
A few steps from the star-sudded restaurants, where chefs Nicolas Salle and François Perret elaborate the quintessence of French gastronomy, Place Vendôme is considered as a unique culinary establishment. With ultimate refinement, cooks, master sauce-makers, bakers, pasty chefs and sommeliers teach their know-how to budding cooks and professionals.
30 years of culinary excellence at the Ecole Ritz Escoffier
Having become an international reference when it comes to the training of tomorrow's chefs, 800 students per year, stemming from 40 different nationalities, come here to follow thematic workshops that last between one and four hours, in small groups. Organized in an elegant setting, from basic training to more technical gestures, these courses take place in French and are simultaneously translated into English.
Very tempting menus on the programme
Everything begins at the bar of the hotel, with a glass of champagne, before heading on to the lower-level, where a special kitchen counter and a programme await the students with dishcloth, apron, knife and cutting slab.
