Until 14 April 2019, the Shangri-La Hotel Paris will be home to SÓNG, a pop-up bar that’s moved into one of the suites with a balcony view of the Eiffel Tower. The bar derives its name from a Chinese dynasty that reigned from 960 to 1279 and marked a culturally rich period in the history of the Middle Kingdom. This richly decorated venue feels like stepping into a fascinating cabinet of curiosities.
A pop-up bar opens at the Shangri-La Hotel Paris
Featuring a dimly lit, boudoir-type ambiance with a warm decorating scheme dominated by red, gold, and black, the concept behind this pop-up bar combines the Asian and European tradition of travel. SÓNG transports its guests back to the enchanting Shanghai of the 1930s through its unique cocktails featuring Hendrick’s Gin and Glenfiddich Whisky, all of have been dreamed up by Clément Emery, its head bartender.

Settle into comfortable velvet seats and kick back to the sounds of a charming playlist. Dig into a parade of dim sum, bao, and other delicacies from the Far East before trying out some of the bar’s signature cocktails, including Hutong, Ping is the New Red, Du Côté de Sichuan, King Kong, and Smokey Monkey.
