After the official reopening of the only princely apartments entirely preserved in France, on the 23rd of Feburary 2019, Chantilly is offering us a private visite in this patrimonial setting, filled with history, art and nature, having belonged to Henri d’Orléans, Duc d’Aumale. The château and the period furniture perpetuate the untouched souvenirs of one of the leading 19th century collectors.

Lavishly implemented betweeen 1845 and 1847, and decorated by Eugène Lami, these eight rooms will soon be once again open to the general public, after 2 years of fundamental renovation work both in terms of decor and furniture. Here is a unique occasion to relive the opulence of the July Monarchy, whose estate shelters today testimonies of a golden age, less than one hour from Paris.
Priceless artistic opulence
Continue the visit in the Condé museum, it showcases the second largest collection of ancient paintings after the Louvre. As for the library and the archives, they feature important collections of works and written documents, with 60.000 volumes, 8.000 maps and more than 80.000 letters. Furthermore, its French style and Anglo-Chinese gardens are gems that stand out thanks to the exceptional expanse of their basins and a multitude of water fountains.
