For a change from classic, standardized and sometimes boring furniture, Belgian designer Job Smeets, pionneer of contemporain conceptual and sculptural art, along with graphist Nynke Tynagel, have founded Studio Job in a spirit of cultural renaissance. Their work combines traditional and modern techniques producing unique objects filled with humour.

Counting today a prestigious clientele, such as the Metropolitan Museum of New York, the National Post Office of The Netherlands, Swarovski and a range of high level collectors, the craftspersons of the in-house workshops use laser and 3D impression to create the « Gesamtkunstwerk », a global artistic work, or the « Wunderkammer », a curious furniture piece that attracts the gaze.

Very « Show Off » furniture

Filled with inspiration, they launched the Robber Baron series that highlights the silhouettes of famous places and monuments. Tour Eiffel, Cathédrale de Reims, Taj Mahal in India, Tower Burj Khalifa in Dubai and Big Ben are transformed into closets, tables, consoles and chests to be featured in apartments just as spectacular.
