This winter, the Museum of Roman History in Nîmes will take you on a digital journey through its incredible exhibition, « Building an Empire ».

The exhibition is set to run between 20 December 2019 and 8 March 2020. This particular « close encounter of the third kind » will take place in the Museum of Roman History in Nîmes. Located in a building designed by the architect Elizabeth de Portzamparc, the purpose of the institution is to bring to life art from ancient times. To celebrate the event, the museum will take visitors on a digital exploration of the Roman Empire.

Nîmes : the start of a digital journey through time

The temporary exhibition, entitled « Building an Empire », will guide visitors through a digital tour of close to twenty archaeological sites from Italy to Libya, Spain, Tunisia, and Armenia. By presenting certain little known monuments and symbols of our global heritage, it will help you explore the urban and architectural models of ancient Roman cities.
