Brussels: the Collector's Promenade, at the art nouveau Solvay Hotel
An Art Nouveau master piece, the Solvay Hotel unveils itself during a « Promenade du Collectionneur » presented at the same time as the 10th edition of the Brussels Artistic Week.
At the heart of the Belgian capital, the Solvay hotel, named after a wealthy philanthropist, is inscribed on the UNESCO's World Heritage list. The building is part of the Art Nouveau strolls, the elegant Avenue Louise. Amongst the most handsome creations of architect Victor Horta, between 1895 and 1903, its facade with ornamented bow-windows is designed in glass, stainless steel and natural stone.
Art Nouveau Promenade in the Hotel Solvay
A site to rediscover for the 10th edition of the Brussels Artistic Week, from the 22nd to the 26th of January 2020. It offers to art lovers the opportunity of enjoying an exceptional venue baptized « La Promenade du Collectionneur ». Its superb decor will be enriched with furniture and sculptures by the hidden artists of Maison Parisienne, a roving gallery created in Paris, in 2008.
An updated Golden Age
During a guided visit, you will have access to the main staircase surmouted by an impressive skylight and enhanced by a twirling bannister in golden metal that leads to the ground floor. On the elegant upper level, where one finds the public spaces, the reception room and the dining room, in the back. And since the venue can be entirely privatized, don't hesitate to take the complete tour…
