The impressive red and gold 19th century decor, honoring the Haussmann patrimony, which has preserved its gloss and original paintings, now features a glass ceiling.
Paris rediscovers its Théâtre du Châtelet
The main auditorium and the reception spaces, listed by the French Historic Monument Society, has regained its aspect, such as they were imagined by architect Gabriel Davioud. Boosted by the best technologies, the 2020 season sends a strong signal conveying multi-faceted dynamics. The ambitious projects invite artists of international fame, who are ready to share their art.

The spotlight is on the comedians
To give a more ethical touch to the venue, the salons were renamed in homage to feminine personalities who left their imprint: Galerie Adami is rebaptized Joséphine Baker, the Salon des Glaces becomes Juliette Gréco, the Wagner Salon is now Nadia and Lili Boulanger, while the Salon Debussy is Barbara, studio A, Cole Porter, and studio B, Anna Pavlova. The future of the Châtelet is sure to be radiant…
