Dior Maison partners with ceramic artist Anne Agbadou-Masson
Dior Maison is joining forces with the actor and ceramic artist Anne Agbadou-Masson to create an exclusive series of sculptures.
Cultural interactions, one of the main inspirations for the 2020 Dior Maison Cruise Collection, are at the heart of a ground-breaking collaboration between the brand and the artist and actor Anne Agbadou-Masson. This ceramic artist is passionate about working with materials taken from the earth, designing sculptures made of sandstone, porcelain, and faience in her Parisian workshops.
Ceramics come to Dior Maison
To pay tribute to Marrakesh, the magical city that hosted the last fashion show of Maria Grazia Chiuri, the artistic director of the women’s high fashion and ready-to-wear collections, Anne Agbadou-Masson created 25 vases showcasing the fantastical and idyllic side of life in Morocco. Her pieces feature graceful and shapely feminine icons and mysterious sea creatures.

These sculpted items exude a level of sensuality that is further highlighted by the raw material used in their construction. Featuring subtle hues, the ceramic is modelled, shaped, and often enhanced by pearly enamel applied in the artist’s Parisian workshops. The manufacture of each piece, which is done entirely by hand, embodies the excellence of modern craftwork… which is also why they are most often one-of-a-kind pieces.
